Some drugstore purchase reviews...

2 dollars
99 centaroonees
I'm a pretty budget savvy person, let me tell you. I love designer make up, I love one-of-a-kind vintage finds. I love nice clothing and jewelry and such. All of these things come at a price. Because I'm saving money for all these things, plus things that I might actually need, like gasoline and daily necessities, it's important to know what to save on versus what to splurge on. In my opinion, all shampoos and conditioners, body washes, and antiperspirants do essentially the same thing. While some people need specialty items, most of us could be saving our money for better purchases than just a 25 dollar bottle of shampoo.

Now that I'm older, and I see that money doesn't grow on trees and cannot just be thrown about towards everything, I try to buy literally the cheapest bathroom essentials possible. By doing such, I can buy that pretty - and pricey - dress, along with a bag and a pair of shoes. Believe me, basic beauty items should not be splurged on. I'm reviewing these two as examples.

The first is the Mitchum deodorant. It's nothing special, just a powdery scent. Do we really need that amazing zesty fresh this or floral fruity that ? Who's going to notice, because I never do. It was the cheapest deodorant I could find, and it's served its purpose quite well. Plus it's a roll-on. Roll-ons last the longest since you're applying less for the same effect. Worth it price-wise. Deodorant is deodorant, so please don't spend more than you have to !

This conditioner is actually one of my favorite products I've been using. It smells amazing, and the scent lasts until the next use. I don't wash my hair every day, so it truly is long-lasting. Plus, it claims to be great for colored hair. I dabble in hair color, so that's always a plus for me. I will likely buy this again, or maybe a different scent. For only a dollar, it's completely worth it.

Stay budget savvy !

Black Mamba

coat ... George, motorcycle expo.
sweater ... Victoria's Secret Pink
shoes ... Lucky Brand

I desperately need a new tripod. For now, the camera sits on a wooden post trying it's best to work with me.

I've died my ends purple, but the end result was so shoddy that I needn't bother photographing it for anyone. I have bigger, better plans for my hairs ... after prom. There will be silver and purple and goodness and things.

I'm extremely excited for my prommy mcpromster this weekend, hopefully I'll get some shots of me and the boy to show the world. I've got my make up picked out already; metallic colors to go with my sparkly gold dress and silver shoes and accessories. My hair, however, is still a mystery. I want it up for sure; it's my time to feel like a princess. What updo I want is the problem. I'm thinking a pretty teased chignon, but then I want to take the safe braided boho route. Decisions decisions !

I have so many reviews to do that I'm overwhelmed, but I feel like a finally might have found my purpose. I love to love my opinion, that's for sure. And I love make up, that's for sure. I've got lipsticks, eye shadows, nail polish, hair styling products... the list is endless.

Taking the AP exam today took the life and mentality out of me, I feel like I just rambled to you all. I just have so many different things to say, rarely does it ever make sense. :)

M. A. C. Viva La Glam Lipstick Review

M.A.C. lip colour in Viva Glam Gaga

My boyfriend knows how much I love Gaga, and he knows how much I love make up, and he for some reason decides to support my obsessions. In addition to buying my first M. A. C. pallet, he bought me this Viva La Glam lipstick. I don't even know where or how he got it, as the new one is already out meaning this one is no longer being sold. Anyhow I was ecstatic, and after continuous, now I have to share my opinion.

When I first removed it from its packaging, I felt as if I was holding some holy device. I love the design and the shiny pink signature they adorn it with. Almost as if Gaga hand-signed it... right. After I removed the cap and examined the color, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. The colour looks great on the advert for it, but in person it seemed too nude. The smell is wonderful though for a lipstick.

I wore it multiple times trying to get a feel for it and see what it looks best with. The conclusion for me is that it definitely needs a strong eye. I went with a natural look most of the time, but a defined natural eye, if that's even possible.

Would I buy this again ? If it wasn't for Lady Gaga's design on the packaging, I'm not too keen on this nude. It's not the most flattering, at least for my tone. It also creases on the sides of my lips. Not sure if all M.A.C. lipsticks do this, but it was kind of icky to see the corners of my mouth harboring pasty lipstick residue. It does photograph quite well, in my opinion.

Must go to sleep. This is the first time my boyfriend has fallen asleep before me as well, what a feat !
